Neodymium Disc Magnets
Neodymium magnets are part of the Rare Earth magnet family and are currently the most powerful permanent magnets in existence. You might recognize them by their abbreviations - NdFeB magnets, which stand for their main components, Neodymium (Nd), Iron (Fe), and Boron (B). These magnets come in a variety of grades with labels like N35, N38, N42, and N38SH. The grading for neodymium magnets is determined based on the materials used to create them. Generally, the higher the grade number (indicated by the letter "N" and a following number), the stronger the magnet will be.
The top grade of neodymium magnet available at the moment is N52. If a neodymium magnet grade has a letter following it, it refers to the magnet's temperature rating. If there aren't any letters, the magnet is considered to have a standard temperature rating. The temperature ratings for these magnets are indicated by letters M, H, SH, UH, and EH. The ratings are in order from lowest to highest heat resistance - M, H, SH, UH, EH.
